This site, and my business have evolved out of a trip I took 9 years ago to India; I fell in love with photography on that trip, and ever since I have been redefining and evolving that relationship. My initial attraction was to the excitement that photography brings: I was very young (13) and half way around the world from my home and I wanted to capture all the exciting new things I was witnessing. Later I discovered all the amazing things to discover right at home in Grand Forks. I began photographing events like weddings and graduations and I found that as a photographer I was able to witness important events in people's lives—and, in return for that privilege, hand them those special moments back after all the excitement was over.

I'll be honest with you. Being a photographer is not always glamorous; and it is not always easy. What keeps me going is the knowledge that I have been chosen by my clients to participate in the events that are most important to them, and to provide documentation that will become part of our historical record for generations to enjoy.
